Dorain Henderson returned to her hometown of St.
Martins, NB in 2004 to pursue a career as a potter. She graduated from NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1994. Upon
graduation, she exhibited her video work in galleries & film festivals. She was the recipient of awards & grants from
among others, the Canada Council for the Arts and the Nova Scotia Arts Council. In1997, Dorain moved to Montreal where she
became a luthier specializing in violin making. Happy to be back in New Brunswick and living by the Bay of Fundy, Dorain now
devotes herself full-time to ceramics.
Storme Arden majored in painting at NSCAD University
(BFA 1994). Prior to that, she studied photography at Concordia University, Montreal and graphic art at Capilano College,
Vancouver. She has exhibited her work internationally, taught & written about art, curated exhibitions, worked in art
galleries, volunteered with artist-run centres and often served as a juror. From 1997-2004, she was the Executive Director
of Visual Arts Nova Scotia and served as the publisher of VANS' nationally distributed arts magazine, Visual Arts News.
